This south Indian classical music is the oldest musical forms of India and one of the oldest in the world which dates back to 400BC. It is considered to be a divine art form. Music stimulates the brain effectively and eases pain, reduces stress and strengthens the memory.
Learning an instrument can change brain structure and function for the better and can lead to better brain development for those who start at a young age. It is proven to relieve stress and anxiety, help with anger management and can activate superior multi-sensory skills.

The founder, Smt. Anitha Edward, started learning Bharathanatyam and Carnatic music since childhood from her Guru's Shri. K.Mohanan & Smt. Sunitha Mohanan and Shri. K.Hariprasad. She studied Western classical and Hindustani Music, Piano, Keyboard and Audio Media Engineering (AME) from KM Music Conservatory, the world renowned A.R. Rahman's music college. She then pursued a 4-year full-time Diploma at Kalakshetra Foundation which includes Bharathanatyam, Carnatic Music Vocal and Veena. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Music from University of Madras. She started teaching in 2009, and has also pursued her dream to be a performer and have done numerous concerts, performances and workshops in India as well as in Europe to spread the rich old Indian arts to the world!
We focus on the development of each learner's potential in a positive environment. The students are encouraged to participate in different competitions and performances to build their self-confidence and be a better performer.
Never too old to learn!
There is no age limit in the academy as we believe age is just a number when it comes to learning an art form. Children and creative adults can play around with their favorite hobby and we encourage our students to pursue it with dedication.
